I’ve decided to shake things up in 2025! What that means is I’m introducing a monthly newsletter dedicated to keeping you informed of the who, what, where, and when of Genealogy by Aryn. Please enjoy:
First, my name is Aryn, and I’m a genealogist and a researcher working to help others learn more about their family history, the social history of the world those ancestors lived in, and how to learn all about it to shape well-rounded TRUE stories about those who came before us. The Focus of January/February is: Revolutionaries, Rebels, & Family History
Over the next two months I will be exploring the lives of those who challenged authority and, in the process, changed history.
The first installment will be about Emma Goldman, a prominent anarchist political activist, writer, and orator who was influential in radical left-wing politics in the United States and Europe in the early 20th century.
Emma Goldman was an immigrant, woman, and a thorn in the side of A. Mitchell Palmer, US Attorney General and the man responsible for the Palmer Raids - aka the first Red Scare.
